Clinicians from Monash Medical Centre, the Royal Women's Hosptial
and the Mercy Hospital for Women came togther in 2005
to form the VFTS.

The VFTS received establishment funding from the
Victorian Government and the Pratt Foundation. The collaboration performed the first laser for twin to twin transfustion syndrome in
Victoria in 2006.
